IN BETWEEN
collection
These paintings contain organic shapes, dots and lines. They bring me peace and calm. I am currently going through a change and life has been in a state of flux. In some ways my identity is shifting too. Life in these past few months has been lived in little shifting moments. Neither here nor there. Somewhere in between. I’m sure you can think of something that changed you deeply too.
The names of these paintings are phrases I have used to cope. They kept me grounded, looking forward, and hopeful. Although these paintings were created in a time of unsettling uncertainty, I hope they bring you calm, comfort and peace.
Immense comfort is what they have brought me as I navigate these in between times.

SALTY TAFFY
collection
The color scheme is inspired by a type of candy called salt water taffy. These are typically of soft shades of pink, yellow, green, cream, white, etc. They are chewy and super sweet, sometimes tangy. More than anything they make me curious to imagine what each one might taste like.

PEACY STUDY
collection
There are 8 paintings in this series. I started painting this just when it was starting to get cold outside. All paintings feature an odd shape entirely surrounded, as if held warm with a blanket, perfectly snuggled and cozy. This is a study of the interaction of light peach/orange color with others (Blue and Green). I got the color scheme inspiration from Nicholas Wilton’s note on color.

UNTANGLED
collection
The color scheme is inspired by fall leaves, pumpkins, lakes, travel and wanderlust.
